New Mexico High School Basketball - Goddard nips Santa Teresa
January 27, 2024: Roswell, NM 88201 Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), 43-36 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Goddard upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Rockets host New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 3-2. New Mexico Military Institute won 43-29 in their recent non-league game against Loving (Loving, NM)
With the defeat, Santa Teresa moves to 5-4 on the year. The Desert warriors host Artesia (Artesia, NM) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 30. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 4-1.
