Virginia High School Basketball - Spotswood edges Staunton
January 27, 2024: Staunton, VA 24401 The Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) basketball nipped the host Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA), 54-47 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Trailblazers (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 2-16 record. In their last test, Rockbridge County was tipped by Salem (Salem, VA), 62-24, in a non-league test.
The Storm now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Broadway for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. Staunton will encounter a Gobblers squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA). The Gobblers record now stands at 6-11.
