January 27, 2025: Genoa, IL 60135 Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), 63-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Genoa-Kingston advances its record to 11-10 on the year. The Cogs host Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL) to face the Rockets in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 14-7. Richmond-Burton lost 68-39 in their recent league match against Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL)
The Bobcats now own a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Earlville for a Little Ten match on Tuesday, January 28. Somonauk will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 40-38 non-league win over Parkview Christian Academy (Yorkville, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-14.
