The River Islands Riptide basketball squad (Lathrop, CA), was nudged 60-57 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Trinity Christian Eagles (Sacramento, CA)

With the victory, Trinity Christian advances its record to 18-3 on the year. The Eagles host Chesterton Academy of Sacramento (North Highlands, CA) to meet the Saints in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. The Saints enter the battle with a record of 0-10. Chesterton Academy of Sacramento lost 73-36 in their recent non-league battle against Foresthill (Foresthill, CA)

The Riptide now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ben Holt College Prep Academy for a Central California Athletic Alliance battle on Tuesday, January 28. River Islands will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 62-49 league win over Millennium (Tracy, CA). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-5.
