Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon overwhelms Sand Creek

The Discovery Canyon Thunder basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Sand Creek Scorpions to 27 in the Thunder non-league triumph on Monday.

The Thunder now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Cheyenne Mountain for a 5A/4A Pikes Peak game on Tuesday, January 28. Discovery Canyon will confront a Red-Tailed Hawks team coming off a 57-23 non-league win over Pueblo South (Pueblo, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Sand Creek falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, CO) to confront the Cardinals in a 6A/5A/4A Colorado Springs Metro - North game on Wednesday, January 29.
