Illinois High School Basketball - Westmont sneaks past Elmwood Park
January 27, 2025: Westmont, IL 60559 The Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL) basketball edged the visiting Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL), 49-47 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Sentinels now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Cristo Rey Jesuit for a Chicago Prep bout on Tuesday, January 28. Westmont will play a Cristeros team coming off a 62-24 non-league loss to Cristo Rey St. Martin (Waukegan, IL). The Cristeros record now stands at 3-11.
With the loss, Elmwood Park falls to 4-20 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Wheeling (Wheeling, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-24. Wheeling lost 71-13 in their recent league bout against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL)
