In Monday's non-league contest, the host Mulberry Panthers basketball team scored a big 49-14 triumph over the Excel Christian Academy Spartans.

The Panthers (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Gibson (Lakeland, FL). The Braves go into the non-league contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Lake Gibson smashed Oasis Christian (Winter Haven, FL), 65-35, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Excel Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record.
