January 27, 2025: Lamar, AR 72846 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR) and the visiting Jasper Pirates (Jasper, AR), observed Lamar's basketball team overwhelm Jasper by a score of 80-35.
The Warriors (20-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lavaca (Lavaca, AR). The Golden Arrows come into the 3A Region 4 challenge with a 8-15 record. In their last challenge, Lavaca was routed by Paris (Paris, AR), 47-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Lead Hill Tigers (Lead Hill, AR) in a 1A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Jasper will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-20 record after their 57-23 league loss to Omaha (Omaha, AR).
