Michigan High School Basketball - Algoma Christian knocked off by Zion Christian
January 28, 2022: Byron Center, MI 49315 The Zion Christian Mountaineers basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Algoma Christian Knights to 51 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand River Prep for a Alliance contest on Tuesday, February 1. Zion Christian will meet a team coming off a 75-60 league win over Wellspring Prep (Grand Rapids, MI). The record now stands at 3-6.
The Knights (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun Christian (Battle Creek, MI). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Calhoun Christian ran past Heritage Christian Academy (Kalamazoo, MI), 56-40, in a non-league contest.
