Georgia High School Basketball - Clarke Central topped by Union Grove

The Union Grove Wolverines basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the visiting Clarke Central Gladiators to 68 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Saturday.

The Wolverines now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dutchtown for a AAAAA Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Union Grove will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-52 league win over Eagle's Landing (McDonough, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-6.

The Gladiators (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Conyers, GA). The Patriots come into the AAAAA Region 8 contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Heritage prevailed over Loganville (Loganville, GA), 84-60, in a league contest.
