Illinois High School Basketball - Goreville crushes Woodlawn
January 28, 2023: Goreville, IL 62939 Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL), 77-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Goreville upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Blackcats travel to Johnston City (Johnston City, IL) to clash with the Indians in a Black Diamond - West bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Johnston City lost 62-58 in their recent non-league bout against Wayne City (Wayne City, IL)
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Woodlawn will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 68-63 league loss to Vienna (Vienna, IL).
