In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Grant Park Dragons basketball team scored a tight 63-61 triumph over the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers.

In their next game, the Dragons meet the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 31. Grant Park will attempt to better on its 17-8 season record. The Fightin' Irish enter the match with a 19-5 record after their 60-27 non-league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL).

With the defeat, Paxton-Buckley-Loda moves to 4-17 on the year. The Panthers travel to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL) to meet the Saints in a Illini Prairie match on Wednesday, February 1. The Saints enter the match with a record of 17-7.
