Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Montverde Academy Eagles (Montverde, FL) and the visiting St. Rita Mustangs (Chicago, IL), saw Montverde Academy's basketball squad overcome St. Rita by a tally of 90-70.

With the victory, Montverde Academy improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to La Lumiere (La Porte, IN) to confront the Lakers in a Freelance challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. La Lumiere won 80-36 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - White challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. St. Rita will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Celtics come into the challenge with a 10-14 record after their 41-26 non-league win over Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL).
