Illinois High School Basketball - Normal University holds off Princeton
January 28, 2023: Princeton, IL 61356 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL), saw Normal University's basketball squad hold off Princeton by a tally of 76-69.
With the victory, Normal University improves its record to 17-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Glenwood (Chatham, IL) to confront the Titans in a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 12-12. Glenwood won 51-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) in a Three Rivers - East challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Princeton will attempt to improve on its 24-1 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 4-19 record after their 55-35 league loss to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL).
