Indiana High School Basketball - Southmont tops Owen Valley
January 28, 2023: Spencer, IN 47460 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southmont Mounties (Crawfordsville, IN) and the host Owen Valley Patriots (Spencer, IN), saw Southmont's basketball squad knock off Owen Valley by a tally of 63-54.
With the victory, Southmont improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Mounties host Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN) to play the Bruins in a Sagamore challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Tri-West Hendricks won 62-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Greencastle (Greencastle, IN)
Next up, the Patriots play the Sullivan Golden Arrows (Sullivan, IN) in a Western Indiana challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Owen Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Golden Arrows come into the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 67-34 league win over Brown County (Nashville, IN).
