Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Penn Hills nips South Fayette
January 28, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15235 Penn Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA), 46-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Penn Hills upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Indians host Armstrong (Kittanning, PA) to play the River Hawks in a WPIAL 5A 2 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The River Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Armstrong lost 42-33 in their recent league bout against Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA)
Next up, the Lions play the Chartiers Valley Colts (Bridgeville, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. South Fayette will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 79-65 non-league loss to Lincoln Park Performing Arts (Midland, PA).
