January 28, 2023: Peotone, IL 60468 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) and the visiting Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL), saw Peotone's basketball squad overcome Woodland by a tally of 49-35.
With the victory, Peotone improves its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL) to confront the Comets in a Illinois Central 8 challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 20-4. Reed-Custer won 60-56 in their recent non-league challenge against El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Woodland will attempt to improve on its 6-17 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 55-54 league win over Tri-Valley (Downs, IL).
