Washington High School Basketball - Pope John Paul II ripped by Sound Christian
January 28, 2023: Lacey, WA 98503 The Sound Christian Lions basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Pope John Paul II Eagles to 34 in the Lions league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muckleshoot Tribal for a 1B/2B Sea-Tac contest on Monday, January 30. Sound Christian will battle a Kings team coming off a 67-10 league win over Pacific Christian Academy (Federal Way, WA). The Kings record now stands at 9-7.
The Eagles (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Quilcene (Quilcene, WA). The Rangers enter the 1B/2B Sea-Tac contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Quilcene triumphed over Northwest Christian (Lacey, WA), 63-56, in a non-league contest.
