The Simla Cubs (Simla, CO) basketball knocked off the host Akron Rams (Akron, CO), 43-28 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cubs (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Colorado Springs School (Colorado Springs, CO). The Kodiaks go into the 2A Black Forrest test with a 4-5 record.

The Rams now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fleming for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Akron will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 64-30 league loss to Briggsdale (Briggsdale, CO). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.
