New Jersey High School Basketball - Columbia fells Verona
January 28, 2023: Maplewood, NJ 07040 Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), 58-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Cougars host Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Caldwell lost 50-43 in their recent non-league bout against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ)
Next up, the Hillbillies clash with the Newark Tech Terries (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Terries go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 44-33 non-league loss to Abundant Life Academy (Nutley, NJ).
