Illinois High School Basketball - Hall nips Marquette
January 28, 2023: Spring Valley, IL 61362 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL) and the visiting Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), saw Hall's basketball squad hold off Marquette by a count of 32-29.
With the victory, Hall upgrades its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL) to play the Comets in a Three Rivers - East challenge on Monday, January 30. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 6-19. Newman Central Catholic lost 45-34 in their recent league challenge against Mendota (Mendota, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) in a Tri-County challenge, on Monday, January 30. Marquette will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 66-53 non-league win over Heyworth (Heyworth, IL).
