January 28, 2023: Hamburg, PA 19526 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA) and the host Hamburg Hawks (Hamburg, PA), saw Pine Grove's basketball squad wallop Hamburg by a tally of 52-27.
With the victory, Pine Grove improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA) to confront the Blue Raiders in a Schuylkill County 1 challenge on Monday, January 30. The Blue Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Tamaqua won 42-37 in their recent league challenge against Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Wyomissing Spartans (Wyomissing, PA) in a Berks County 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Hamburg will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
