Minnesota High School Ice Hockey - Fairmont succumbs to Winona
January 28, 2023: Fairmont, MN 56031 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) ice hockey team bounced the host Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), by a score of 8-1.
The Winhawks (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Onalaska (Onalaska, WI). The Hilltoppers enter the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Onalaska held off Oregon (Oregon, WI), 8-6, in a non-league test.
Next up, the Cardinals encounter the Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) in a South Central test, on Thursday, February 2. Fairmont will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Bluejays enter the test with a 7-9 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MN).
