Kansas High School Basketball - Halstead bested by Abilene
January 28, 2025: Abilene, KS 67410 Abilene Cowboys (Abilene, KS) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Halstead Dragons (Halstead, KS), 68-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Abilene advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Cowboys host Chapman (Chapman, KS) to meet the Irish in a North Central Kansas match on Friday, January 31. The Irish enter the match with a record of 0-11. Chapman lost 78-23 in their recent league match against Concordia (Concordia, KS)
The Dragons now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hesston for a Central Kansas match on Tuesday, February 4.
