Maine High School Basketball - Valley nips Dirigo
January 28, 2025: Bingham, ME 04920 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Valley Cavaliers basketball team scored a close 54-53 win over the Dirigo Cougars.
The Cavaliers (14-0) will now prepare for their contest against Vinalhaven (Vinalhaven, ME). The Vikings come into the D South contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Vinalhaven was tipped by Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME), 78-29, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Dirigo will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Phoenix come into the contest with a 15-2 record after their 66-27 league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME).
