The Monroe City Panthers basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Highland Cougars to 22 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now have a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Clark County for a Clarence Cannon game on Friday, January 31. Monroe City will confront a Indians team coming off a 73-60 non-league loss to Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Indians record now stands at 8-9.
