In Tuesday's league test, the New Site Royals (New Site, MS) basketball squad knocked off the host Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), by a score of 58-48.

Next, the Royals encounter the Red Bay Tigers (Red Bay, AL) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 30. New Site will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 17-7 record after their 83-75 non-league win over Deshler (Tuscumbia, AL).
