January 28, 2025: Beaverton, OR 97007 Benson Tech Astros (Portland, OR) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), 58-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Benson Tech upgrades its record to 12-3 on the year. The Astros host Roosevelt (Portland, OR) to face the Roughriders in a 6A Portland match on Friday, January 31. The Roughriders enter the match with a record of 6-10. Roosevelt lost 71-46 in their recent league match against Lincoln (Portland, OR)
The Mavericks now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southridge for a 6A Metro match on Friday, January 31. Mountainside will face a Skyhawks squad coming off a 62-27 league win over Sunset (Portland, OR). The Skyhawks record now stands at 10-7.
