In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves basketball team scored a close 56-50 win over the Nemaha Central Thunder.

The Timberwolves (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wellsville (Wellsville, KS). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Wellsville edged Lansing (Lansing, KS), 55-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunder battle the Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS) in a Big East contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Nemaha Central will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record.
