Louisiana High School Basketball - Gibsland-Coleman trounced by Ruston
January 28, 2025: Ruston, LA 71270 Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs (Gibsland, LA), 71-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ruston advances its record to 9-11 on the year. The Bearcats host Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA) to face the Lions in a 5A District 2 match on Friday, January 31. The Lions enter the match with a record of 19-7. Ouachita Parish won 52-49 in their recent league match against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)
The Bulldogs now own a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Claiborne Christian for a C District 1 match on Friday, January 31. Gibsland-Coleman will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 58-50 non-league loss to Calvin (Calvin, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 15-10.
