Texas High School Soccer - Lorena nudges University
January 28, 2025: Lorena, TX 76655 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) and the visiting University Trojans (Waco, TX), saw Lorena's soccer squad hold off University by a count of 1-0.
The Leopards (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Meyer (Waco, TX). The Ravens enter the 4A Region 3 District 23 battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Meyer was edged by La Vega (Waco, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Trojans battle the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 16 battle, on Friday, January 31. University will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 5-7 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX).
