Ohio High School Basketball - Wheelersburg can't hold off Jackson
January 29, 2022: Jackson, OH 45640 The Jackson Ironman/Ironladies basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Wheelersburg Pirates to 42 in the Ironman/Ironladies non-league victory on Saturday.
The Ironman/Ironladies now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a Frontier contest on Tuesday, February 1. Jackson will battle a Blue Lions team coming off a 49-27 non-league win over Blanchester (Blanchester, OH). The Blue Lions record now stands at 10-6.
The Pirates (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH). The Oaks come into the Southern Ohio II contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Oak Hill edged Northwest (McDermott, OH), 45-43, in a league contest.
