Illinois High School Basketball - Wheeling nips Lake Zurich
January 29, 2022: Wheeling, IL 60090 Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL), 49-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wheeling upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Wildcats host Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL) to play the Bison in a Mid-Suburban - East bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 11-13. Buffalo Grove won 55-36 in their recent non-league bout against Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL)
Next up, the Bears play the Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) in a North Suburban bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Lake Zurich will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 9-13 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL).
