Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE), 57-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Omaha Central upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Millard South (Omaha, NE) to play the Patriots in a A District TBD bout on Saturday, February 5. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Silver Hawks play the Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE) in a A District TBD bout, on Friday, February 4. Lincoln Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Discoverers come into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 55-31 league loss to Pius X (Lincoln, NE).
