New York High School Basketball - Canarsie overwhelmed by Notre Dame Catholic
January 29, 2023: Brooklyn, NY 11236 The Canarsie Chiefs basketball team (Brooklyn, NY), was overwhelmed 73-45 in Sunday's non-league battle with the visiting Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT)
The Lancers now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newtown for a Southwest battle on Monday, January 30. Notre Dame Catholic will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 59-46 league win over Stratford (Stratford, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-4.
The Chiefs (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Boys & Girls (Brooklyn, NY). The Kangaroos come into the PSAL Brooklyn AA battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Boys & Girls trounced Campus Magnet (Cambria Heights, NY), 80-76, in a non-league battle.
