Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) backers were pleased Sunday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. Joseph Falcons (Metuchen, NJ), 56-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ) to play the Jaguars in a Super Essex - Liberty bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 8-10. East Orange Campus won 39-32 in their recent non-league bout against West Orange (West Orange, NJ)

Next up, the Falcons play the Linden Tigers (Linden, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 59-40 non-league win over South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ).
