Wisconsin High School Basketball - Wakefield trounces Mercer
January 29, 2024: Mercer, WI 54547 The Wakefield Cardinals (Wakefield, MI) basketball crushed the host Mercer Tigers (Mercer, WI), 76-25 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI). The Gladiators go into the Copper Mountain - Porcupine test with a 5-11 record.
The Tigers now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Butternut for a Northern Lights test on Tuesday, January 30. Mercer will encounter a Midgets squad coming off a 78-29 league loss to Mellen (Mellen, WI). The Midgets record now stands at 0-15.
