Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Central Lyon Lions (Rock Rapids, IA), 67-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Spirit Lake upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA) to play the Midgets in a Lakes bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Midgets come into the bout with a record of 16-2. Estherville Lincoln Central won 65-37 in their recent league bout against Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA)
