January 29, 2024: Russellton, PA 15076 In Monday's league outing, the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA), by a margin of 39-16.
The Vikings (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA). The Gators go into the non-league outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Geibel Catholic smashed West Greene (Waynesburg, PA), 49-44, in a league outing.
The Lancers now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Apollo Ridge for a WPIAL 3A 3 outing on Thursday, February 1. Deer Lakes will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 42-25 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-9.
