January 29, 2024: Oneida, IL 61467 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) and the visiting Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL), saw ROWVA/Williamsfield's basketball team gain a win over Galva by a score of 46-36.
The Cougars now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Biggsville West Central for a Lincoln Trail contest on Wednesday, January 31. ROWVA/Williamsfield will battle a Heat team coming off a 59-53 league win over Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Heat record now stands at 16-6.
The Wildcats (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles come into the Lincoln Trail contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, Mercer County was defeated by Princeville (Princeville, IL), 46-45, in a league contest.
