South Carolina High School Basketball - Lower Richland holds off Gilbert
January 29, 2024: Hopkins, SC 29061 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) and the visiting Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC), saw Lower Richland's basketball squad hold off Gilbert by a tally of 29-25.
With the victory, Lower Richland improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Diamond Hornets travel to Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC) to confront the Bruins in a challenge on Monday, February 5. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 9-1. Orangeburg-Wilkinson lost 35-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Gilbert (Gilbert, SC)
Next up, the Indians confront the Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Gilbert will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
