In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Howland Tigers basketball team scored a big 61-38 triumph over the McKinley Red Dragons.

The Tigers (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH). The Falcons go into the All-American contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Austintown-Fitch was trounced by Boardman (Youngstown, OH), 74-70, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Red Dragons battle the Lakeview Bulldogs (Cortland, OH) in a Northeast 8 contest, on Saturday, February 1. McKinley will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 7-10 record after their 73-44 league loss to Poland Seminary (Poland, OH).
