Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County overwhelms Wells

January 29, 2025: Lovelock, NV 89419

The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Wells Leopards to 28 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now have a 11-13 record. They play next when they travel to North Tahoe for a 2A Northern game on Friday, January 31. Pershing County will confront a Lakers team coming off a 59-48 league win over Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV). The Lakers record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Wells falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to McDermitt (McDermitt, NV) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A East game on Saturday, February 1. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 8-8. McDermitt won 51-46 in their recent league game against Lund (Lund, NV)
