West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence crushes Richwood
January 3, 2022: Coal City, WV 25823 Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV), 95-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Patriots travel to PikeView (Princeton, WV) to clash with the Panthers in a Coalfield AA bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-3. PikeView lost 59-27 in their recent league bout against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV)
Next up, the Lumberjacks clash with the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Richwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 63-62 non-league loss to WestSide (Clear Fork, WV).
