Iowa High School Basketball - Mt. Pleasant can't hold off New London
January 3, 2022: New London, IA 52645 The New London Tigers basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers to 74 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame for a SEI - South contest on Tuesday, January 4. New London will battle a Nikes team coming off a 52-33 league win over Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA). The Nikes record now stands at 2-4.
The Panthers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Bloodhounds come into the Southeast contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Fort Madison edged Washington (Cedar Rapids, IA), 56-46, in a non-league contest.
