Illinois High School Basketball - Pearl City overwhelms South Beloit
January 3, 2022: Pearl City, IL 61062 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Pearl City Wolves (Pearl City, IL) and the visiting South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL), saw Pearl City's basketball squad wallop South Beloit by a tally of 50-14.
With the victory, Pearl City improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wolves host Durand (Durand, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North challenge on Wednesday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-6.
Next up, the Sobos play the Alden-Hebron Green Giants (Hebron, IL) in a Northeastern challenge, on Wednesday, January 5. South Beloit will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Green Giants come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 19-17 non-league win over South Beloit (South Beloit, IL).
