Texas High School Basketball - Baytown Christian ripped by O'Connell
January 3, 2023: Galveston, TX 77550 The O'Connell Buccaneers basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Baytown Christian Bulldogs to 52 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph Catholic for a TAPPS 2A District 6 contest on Friday, January 6. O'Connell will battle a Eagles team coming off a 62-38 non-league loss to Bremond (Bremond, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-12.
The Bulldogs (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Family Christian (Houston, TX). The Warriors enter the TAPPS 1A District 8 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Family Christian was routed by True North (The Woodlands, TX), 46-30, in a non-league contest.
