Iowa High School Basketball - Iowa City West overwhelms Burlington
January 3, 2023: Iowa City, IA 52246 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Iowa City West Trojans (Iowa City, IA) and the visiting Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA), saw Iowa City West's basketball squad wallop Burlington by a count of 80-41.
With the victory, Iowa City West upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to play the Saints in a Mississippi Valley challenge on Friday, January 6. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 8-0. Xavier won 59-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (North Liberty, IA)
Next up, the Grayhounds play the Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Burlington will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record.
