Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Carter Cowboys (Dallas, TX) and the visiting La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX), saw Carter's basketball squad wallop La Vega by a tally of 62-30.

With the victory, Carter improves its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Pinkston (Dallas, TX) to play the Vikings in a 4A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 12-9.

Next up, the Pirates play the China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, January 13. La Vega will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record.
