Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Lehighton holds off Catasauqua
January 3, 2023: Lehighton, PA 18235 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lehighton Indians (Lehighton, PA) and the visiting Catasauqua Rough Riders (Catasauqua, PA), saw Lehighton's basketball squad hold off Catasauqua by a tally of 50-45.
With the victory, Lehighton improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Indians host Panther Valley (Lansford, PA) to confront the Panthers in a Schuylkill County 1 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-3.
Next up, the Rough Riders confront the Southern Lehigh Spartans (Center Valley, PA) in a Colonial - West challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Catasauqua will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Louis E. Dieruff (Allentown, PA).
